Today's lesson goes over the simple way to integrate a boss battle into a level. Most of these are seen at the end of a castle stage before the end of your "world" or "game" and are meant to present a challenge. Due to the limitations of Super Mario Maker, there are only so many tools available to us to "force" a boss battle but we'll make do with what we have!
Homework: Due on Sunday, October 11th, 2015 by 11 PM EDT.
- utilizing the Lakitu Cloud or Koopa Clown Car, create a boss fight that you have to complete to progress through your level
- make sure the player can't get stuck, provide a spawner for enemies, clouds or a door to reset the battle
- have fun!
